The Choice

after years of subtle put downs
crippling self-doubt
raised eyebrows, cold shoulders
veiled snubs, disapproving glances

I found a strong voice
came back to myself
reclaimed my joie de vivre
and began life anew

  13. This is how it happened for me as well. I just discovered that my regret will not change a thing. It will not make my life better in any way. I have to dig deep and find the positives and note the lessons learned.
