Happy Days



The Fab Fifties
we discovered by osmosis
how to saturate hair with color
spray-freeze it into au courant
beehives, bouffants beyond belief 
how to spray starch can-can slips
ignore scratches criss-crossing our legs
we were uber-cool ~ punk before its time

  2. ha. as i told mz...my spanish teacher...we called her bouffant grande....man was her hair huge....this was the 80s...much different in the 50s...smiles. and just stay away from flame with all that spray freeze...smiles.

  3. I remember "starching" my crinoline with sugar, which made it sparkle in the sunlight, until the sunlight made the sugar melt. Weren't we cute?
