Teddy Girls On Parade

Poetry inspired by the 1950's gang ... the Teddy Girls
part of a style movement that arose in post-WW II Britain.

Photographs ... Ken Russell

i was a Teddy Girl
cool
bad-ass cool
flirting with androgyny
{you know
keep things interesting
keep 'em on their toes}
crossing lines

blurring boundaries
copping an attitude
fashion rebel
with a cause
