The Ice Cutters, 1911 ~ Natalia Goncharova

tinkle tinkle tiny cubes
scotch on rocks
come get it, Rubes
stir it .. mix it
drink it down
raisin' hell all over town

tinkle tinkle tiny cubes
filling ice bags
oh, what Boobs
'tis the season
so they say
drink too much
 a price you'll pay

  3. No gentleman puts ice cubes in his scotch! That mangles the delicate flavour. A few drops of water at room temperature, perhaps, but NO ICE. Ice is scotch is for cultural Philistines and other ne'er-do-wells.

Blessings and Bear hugs for your sober Christmas!

  5. … You never cease to amaze… I've been so busy lately - spinning in circles - I think I need a scotch (on ice or not!) I love this image - need to try and write to it… I've missed so many Magpie and Poetry Jam challenges lately (those darn kids …. :)
