Magpie 200

self portrait ~~ Francis Bacon

Helen is her name
perhaps you know her
she seems cheerful, sweet
perhaps you know her
she floats – here to there
everyone is attracted
like bees to a flower
perhaps you know her
she buries secrets deep inside
I don’t know her
I wish this mirror could

  4. lol Ah! From one (near) Helen to another. Actually, I was named after my grandmother Helena, but my mum thought it more modern in the 60's to drop the 'a'. I've use so many derivatives of it over the years...!

  5. This was wonderful... I like your take... I got a similar feel from the photo only I think Francis Bacon may have a few more deeper, darker secrets than yourself. I think getting to know ourselves takes a lifetime of self exploration. I learn more and more about myself with every year that passes. It you were asking me I would say, "I think Helen is great!"

  14. Hi Helen, thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Although I wouldn't have known as I never go there nowadays. But your comment came by email to me. Now I have no idea how I managed to spend so much time blogging. I also don't neccisarily know what I spend my time doing either! Think it probably relates to my kindle and games on my ipad! Happy new year to you. X
