Ah, well done! I enjoyed that you shared your own "self-portrait" too!
all selfies are reflective of the past, so why not? :) ~
A beautiful reverie.Happy New Year, dear Helen.
lovely Helen! Happy New Year!
lol Ah! From one (near) Helen to another. Actually, I was named after my grandmother Helena, but my mum thought it more modern in the 60's to drop the 'a'. I've use so many derivatives of it over the years...!
This was wonderful... I like your take... I got a similar feel from the photo only I think Francis Bacon may have a few more deeper, darker secrets than yourself. I think getting to know ourselves takes a lifetime of self exploration. I learn more and more about myself with every year that passes. It you were asking me I would say, "I think Helen is great!"
Pure magic..so many layers, it's a privilege to dig for the answers...have a great path in the New Year!!
A lovely and clever write ..well done. Happy New Year to you and your houseful of guests.
And a mirrored image is only ever our self in reverse...
smiles...life becomes a quest in knowing ourselves...but you are right...helen is pretty enchanting...smiles.
Ooh - so intriguing. And so beautifully expressed - we never know what lies below the surface. Happy New Year.
Oh, great! Written so gracefully! Best wishes for New Year!
What I know of her I like very much! Including this verse. Happy New Year Helen!
A lovely rerun...
Great reflections Helen... Happy New Year!
Hi Helen, thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Although I wouldn't have known as I never go there nowadays. But your comment came by email to me. Now I have no idea how I managed to spend so much time blogging. I also don't neccisarily know what I spend my time doing either! Think it probably relates to my kindle and games on my ipad! Happy new year to you. X
Well said. Do we ever know ourselves?
Glad to know her!
