mmm...war changes everything...esp for those that serve...creating new in the after...that is a good thing...part of the healingand living on in the after....
That is so sad! Everyone loses in war. Well, except for the people who make huge profits from selling war materiel to governments. A lot of people are damaged, visibly and invisibly. May they learn to live in peace.Blessings and Bear hugs!

So many of us have a "before and after" marker in our lives like that, whether it is Pearl Harbor, Kennedy, Viet Nam, 9-11 or something very personal. My admiration to all survivors.
We all have war stories, and we all have the scars too. I appreciate the approach you took to this challenge, Helen. This was a poem to make me think.
