I love the way you set this, Helen. Kick ass write.

good one as always!!!
what happens when the unstoppable force meets the immovable object?smiles.
Like MZ, I also love the structure of this poem, as well as the repetition. Honey had better watch out!
Hear me roar, purrrr. I love this!
Love! What a force!
that ignored Plan B, awesome writeThanks for stopping over at my blog Helen.much love...
You conquered! Very Clever. Thanks.
I read this aloud while glaring at my screen, moving my hands and that silent-fighting-words-way my people has... And I love your voice, your tone, your way to come down hard on the one who was too full of him/herself to see you coming and conquering. Yum!
I often read poems aloud (the frustrated performer lurking inside) ... I am actually attempting to put this poem to music! Smiles!
bragging and boasting - usually are "blinding" activities. I hear a bit of Gloria Gaynor here :)
It never happens until it happens. Right? Yup, that's true enough.Blessings and Bear hugs!
Honey is in deep trouble! Fun to read and your effect is grand~
Those bad boys better be careful with what they wish for. Great write. Marc Anthony got Egypt and then he met Cleopatra.
Wicked flow here Helen ~ I love your response, smiles ~
perfection! You poetess you!
Oh, I love this. Wish I had read this when I was in my 20's!! So true if we had the confidence to say it!!Thanks for stopping. I love the thongs, too. Gold is the new thing.Jane xxx
I like it, Helen (of course it is written to a GUY). The repetition is adds a lot and will be very appropriate for your song. To help my appreciation, a part of it fit me, I never saw Mrs. Jim coming. She and my buddy's friend were waiting for me to come to a supper put on by our landlord. I wasn't supposed to be there that night but there was a late change. BUT, I wasn't like your fellow in the poem. I was naïve and carefree. I played with my motorcycle, took classes, worked, and was enjoying being single again with just a little bit of dating. BTW, I had this disclaimer at the bottom of my Flash 55: "Today's poem is entirely fiction, not one iota relates to ME." So yes, of course I would have a drink with you...
Great stuff. Never seen I came I saw I conquered from this perspective before. I like it.
