Shades of Grey

marche funèbre

carefree days wrapped
in bits of flowered tissue
buried in locked boxes
summer has died

  2. This so clearly conveys the sense of things shutting down at winter's approach.

  3. Dearest Helen,
Well, it is a time for being a bit melancholic indeed... Summer is slipping away. We had rain yesterday and clouds today. The noises are sounding different in the garden now the buffer of thick, healthy leaves is wearing down; literally.
But here in Georgia it still remains lovely for a few months and I am thrilled for being past the heat and humidity of July and August. Now the balcony can be enjoyed more often!
    Sending you hugs,
    Mariette

So happy for you to live in the best mountain town retirement location! (^_^)
