Life Cycle

she was young
 restless
without a fixed itinerary
longing to find her way
leave a mark

older now
memories stretched as thin
as the shadow on her path
waiting for someone
to need her

  3. Oh, goodness--your words sent a shiver up my spine. The truthfulness and realization that this is SO real.. You have a great insight. And I believe you are also very wise. Truly.

  4. Dearest Helen,
Well, there should have been a middle verse as well... Don't you think?
It is not quite that abstract as young and old but there is a lot of golden middle road where we have a mix of both!
    Sending you hugs,
    Mariette
