Hallmark Moment

What’s a gal got to do
To score a Valentine’s treat
I've searched high and low
Up and down every street!

Nary a warm blooded male
No dude in sight
Young one - old one
A veritable blight!

So here I settle on
This old cowpoke's lap
What does that make me
A Hearts and Flowers sap!

  4. At least you found a cowboy's lap. You know what they say - save a horse, ride a cowboy! 😀

  5. I'm sure the Cowboy was happy for company, cold as he is.

  8. Dearest Helen,
Your personal poetry is far better than the 'canned' wording of a Hallmark card.
Sure, it is a big commercial value and that to me is the dark side of it.
Valentine is meant to be 365 days a year and in many forms, not only as commercially prescribed!
    Hugs,
    Mariette
