One Singular Sensation

wikipedia

One singular sensation
Every little step they take
Strutting their showgirl bodies
Cool as cucumbers, no distractions

“Eat your hearts out
You can’t have us”

One singular sensation
Every little step they take
Eyes fixed straight ahead
Professionals strutting their stuff

“Eat your hearts out
You can’t have us”

One singular sensation
Every little step they take
Obvious at twenty paces
Untouchable, elegant, classy

“Eat your hearts out
You can’t have us”

  4. Playing hard to get or hanging out on the wrong places or both. Work on those two and things will improve. Nice write.
And too, do what your cardio doc says so you can live a lot more. I have one who keeps me alive. :-)

  5. I love the repetition in this poem, Helen, like the repetition of those showgirls’ steps.

  12. Dearest Helen,
There is only such a short time frame for being the elegant, classy showgirl.
What will the next role be, as life demands a lot more steps...
    Hugs,
