With age comes wisdom ~~~
Ladies in their eighties. Do NOT dismiss us! we
know how to live, we know how to laugh, how to love. wE know what we want AND HOW TO GET IT!
Decade after decade we've learned from our mistakes, honed our skills, left lovers behind ~ ranted, danced, protested, cried, raged, loved, created, explored, nurtured .. evolved. We ignore the aches, kick up our heels, laugh .. thankful to be alive.
And now that we're damned near close to perfection, it would be a crying shame to write us off!

Haha, I like this! :D
ReplyDeleteOh, yes to all of this, Helen! Splendid! I had no idea you were turning 80.
ReplyDeleteToasting you with the champagne. 😏

ReplyDeleteNever a good idea to mess with an elder! I too find it hard to believe you are almost 80.
ReplyDeleteOh I agree with you wholeheartedly, Helen! <3
ReplyDeleteYou? 80? I demand to know the secret.

ReplyDeleteAmen! Youth is so wasted on the young.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! Youth would be terribly silly, if their fresh brain doesn't let it know just how important age is. Also, vintaged souls have the best stories!
ReplyDeleteI think this is my new mantra! Pretty damned close to perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Full of vitality <3
