Dissonance

Dissonance in poetry is a tool we rarely use in our writing, but deliberately used it may add an unsettling emotion that is crucial to describing unpleasant topics. Bjorn is hosting today in the dVerse Poets Pub and the focus is on, yes .. dissonance.

off key harmonies

mothers and daughters collide

dissonant voices

half a step from perfection

lyrics better left unsung

  5. I have three daughters, and each, in their turn, collided with their mother, but I used dialogue and family meetings to smooth the waters.
