I've a list of twelve chores
wouldn't you know
can't find where I put it
{ just go with the flow }
lists bore me to tears
freedom I seek
the great out of doors
{ like jumping a creek }
at my advanced age
it really won't matter
creating those lists
{ like thoughts, they will scatter }
join me now friends
crumple your list
meet at the town's square
{ you get my gist }
we're going to have fun
those projects can wait
there's always tomorrow
{ come, don't be late! }

I have Things I Should Be Doing. I also have fatigue, vertigo and headaches. I stopped writing lists and keep hoping some energy will emerge in which to accomplish what I most need to do. The clock is ticking. Maybe I should write another list. I hear you, Helen.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes!
ReplyDeleteLike Rosemary said, "Yes, yes, yes!" Your way sounds so much more fun than mine. So, perhaps, I should meet you there...
ReplyDeleteOh, I adore this, Helen! I'll come be your date any time! Love the effortless rhyme and the whole sentiment you express <3 <3
ReplyDeleteThat's fun Helen, I too would like to meet you at towns square. :)
ReplyDeletePerfect, Helen. Lists only make you feel badly.
ReplyDeleteSurely the laundry can wait a little... LOL
