We treat our time at the start like it will last forever. But as we age, it time becomes more valuable, but then it slips away more easily. You told it nicely, Christine, I like reading it. ..
I love the summertime as I have no schedule - not school has started again (but my youngest son is homeschooling 10th grade - dyslexic and dysgraphia) and this new program isn't cheap, but it is amazing!
I think the hairs on my wrist (I don't wear a watch) tell the same time as your clock! Even so, they do a marvellous job of telling my when it's about time for my kitchen ringer to go off. Because I hate the sudden noise disturbing my calm, the hairs' early warning lets me silence the ringer before it rings! Crazy, I know. LOL
True ..... . From wherever you got the clock , I appreciate the attitude, Only If we could live like time never existed. Thankfully there are certain moments in life.
Morning, noon and night. That's all we need to know. Follow the sun!
ReplyDeleteYes, it isn't always a bad thing!
ReplyDeleteI second that and love that clock
ReplyDeletep.s. Your clock is missing a six (6). Or is the nine on a swivel and does a half rotation for double duty as a six? The engineer in me wants a fix.

Especially doing things we love... time can disappear pretty fast...
ReplyDeleteI love American Sentences – and this one is a particular delight, with its wisdom garbed in understatement and quirkiness.
ReplyDeleteLOL....Quirky indeed. Interesting take on the prompt!
ReplyDeleteI love it when time gets lost doing something that feeds my soul.

Yes, isn't it interesting how hard it is to regret the times when we've lost track of time?
ReplyDeleteI agree because if you are losing track of time it means you're doing something intriguing and absorbing. Like writing!!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I love the brevity of your poem, its message and accompaniment of such a wonderful image :-D :-D

ReplyDeleteDearest Helen,
ReplyDeleteAt times, losing track is a relieve...
