HAIL TO THE CHEF!

It's Quadrille Monday in the dVerse Poets Pub * Ms. De Jackson (aka WhimsyGizmo) has tossed us a word to build our quadrilleS around ~ and it is PINCH!

zee Chef is in zee kitchen
oui oui
meet this clever man

trained at Le Cordon Bleu
speaks in different language
sounds alien to his crew

glob of this, plop of that
a pinch, smidgen, tad
approximate is his normal

standard would mean bad!

  2. These folks measure by their hearts, smiles. As long at its delicious, measurements are at best, approximates.

  5. Ha! Love this, Helen. I've always wondered about all those "pinch" and "smidge" and "dash" kinds of measurements. I'm a creative soul, but I don't cook, so when I do, I need exact instructions!

  11. This made me smile, such fun, and yet also evocative of chefs I have met and their manner.
