Rosemary suggests we imagine how lovely it would be to visit Earth again, as a disembodied spirit, to re-experience favourite things, favourite places, beautiful landscapes, a loved old home or even favourite people.
I return to symphony hall
a silent observer, familiar
with the nuances
complexities of the classics.
Another opportunity to savor the
transcendent energy of 'alive' music
experience all the magic
as if for the first time.

First times may be repeated then. I've had some pretty nice ones but now I've lost track of the parties involved.
ReplyDeletep.s. My write is the Jack and Jill that you read here earlier with the dVerse. Thanks for checking in.

Dearest Helen,
ReplyDeleteA noble wish for going back in time...

Oh yes, those unrepeatable first times! Whether for reading the classics, attending live music concerts, or whatever else. I wonder if a time capsule could work for that? It would depend, I suppose, on whether it could take you back to before that experience was a memory. Hmmm, I don't think I want to lose my memories, even for such a good reason. Memory itself works as a kind of time capsule. Re-reading and re-listening are also occasions for joy.
