Foraging ~~

Grace is hosting Open Link in the dVerse poets Pub ~~~ Anything Goes!

Ismael Nery    circa 1931

in the kitchen window
a small plant
leans toward light

its leaves thinned
translucent
yet still it reaches

i water the plant
watch the soil darken
whisper into silence

as if silence remembers

  1. As a plant person, I love the nurturing of the small plant. And yes you can talk to your plant, smiles.

  5. A watered spirit listens, the roots grip and leaves widen in the light. That's gratitude for what is given. As this poem is.
