De is playing host in the dVerse Poets Pub this fine day ~
time for a Quadrille ~ focus is on the word "FIX"
under the microscope
affixed to a glass slide
edges smooth and polished
a slice of tissue rests ~
a lovely blend of shapes
colors a work of art ~
she sits, she waits
she sips, she hopes
acutely aware her future
offers no promises

Wow! There is so much story here! Well done.
ReplyDeleteThis is ominous.
ReplyDeletea myriad of possible worlds
ReplyDeleteSo full, so promising, but an unfulfilled poem. Artly!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of how much life is put on hold these days... there is a future there somewhere... but how it will be nobody knows.
ReplyDelete...the next chapter remains to be written ,,,, hopefully with a happy ending ...
ReplyDeleteI like how what is being examined under the microscope is a work of art.
ReplyDeleteBravo
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by to read mine
Muchđź’™love
There is so much promise in this poem. I am game for a sequel to this
ReplyDeleteIs she hopeful or not; seems like there are many endings to the scene.
ReplyDeleteLovely to read you again. Take care!
The dread of ambiguity and uncertainty. (K)
ReplyDeleteDearest Helen,
ReplyDeleteYes, under the microscope a lot of things suddenly do change!
Like dark clouds hanging above from a very pregnant sky―soon starting to unload upon us.
May there still remain that spark of sunshine and light that gives hope.
Hugs,
Mariette
See,this is why I never go under a microscope! Great poem, Helen.
