Virgo Woman

Virgo Rule #1 ~ never date a Virgo man, his quirks are your quirks! Those Libra smiles? Lethal weapons ~ and should be outlawed. I had a few Taurus crushes in high school, they were bullies ~ NOT GOING THERE! Geminis? Hard to ignore their evil (twin) alter egos. Aquarius ~ the intellectual I worshiped from afar, a college prof ~ later learned he enjoyed platonic relationships, a bit eccentric.  The Leo, loved by everyone and vice versa. He left me! Pisces, the equivalent of dating a phantom. Wishy-washy, quite elusive. Cancers, ruled by the moon ~ and prone to mood swings. In their defense, they seem quite protective of the women they love. Sagittarius, wild child of the zodiac, I was exhausted after three months. Motorcycle rides, zip lining, grueling runs, marathon tennis, I needed to enjoy life ~ preferably in one piece!  My Aries fling? Oh, he was devastatingly cute and quite brilliant, way, way too young. They say Scorpios are great to have by your side during times of trouble. I had no dire premonitions, I passed.  Ah, finally The Capricorn ~ sexy, fun, talented, tolerant, generous, athletic, loving, ambitious, a soulmate, SIGH ~ the one who got away.  The end.

  1. I stand in awe of your research! I'm Aquarius and I married an Aquarius. Sigh. Not much variety in my life --- although I did have a brief and damaging fling with a Taurus!!

  2. As for the good ones getting away, maybe we just think they were the good ones because we can't have them! I always said I was a "bad Leo." I like few people, so few can like me since they don't get to know me. I want my own way, but never in the forefront. My daughter is a Gemini, and boy! is she a Gemini!

  3. Nice narrative. I am Aquarius, my daughter a Saggitarius and my son a Pices

    Happy Sunday

  4. My mother was a Virgo woman and in so many ways she defined it perfectly!

  5. My husband is a Scorpio, but being born on the cusp of Libra, that must be where his smile comes from.

  6. Dearest Helen,
Lovely poem and I'm quite happy with my Aries.

  7. You passed on a Scorpio?! You didn't want searing passion as well as all that loyalty? Tsk! Being a Scorpio myself, I get on well with Virgo; my first-born is one. And also with Taurus; my dad was one. But those, of course, are non-romantic relationships. Astrologer Linda Goodman said Scorpio and Aquarius were a good mix for both friendship and sex; so it proved with one of my lovers, and later with my dear third husband Andrew.

  8. I agree on the Sag and Pisces, the rest I don't have much experience with. Wondering about that Capricorn. Taurus?

  10. Scorpio here. We make great friends, fiercely protective of those we love. If we let you in, it's forever... kinda like the hotel california. I'm gonna have to look up everyone's star signs now!

  11. And another Scorpio, we are the BEST overall, Very BEST in most. My first married mate was a Virgo, we didn't match too well on quirks. Second, still present is Capricorn, a keeper for me. I did have a quite long waiting line for me if Mrs. Jim would leave or crater, mostly widow women. I haven't checked that for some time now though. Mrs. Jim is like a loving pet who adores me, I doubt she would ever leave.

  12. Being a Taurus I am a bit of a bull in a china shop. Well that is what it seems, as I broke a bit of crockery last week!
