Apple a Day!!

gaze at that face

do you see evil there

peddling her apples ~

look if you dare

darkness her milieu

spells so grotesque

don’t let her fool you ~

think ‘Kafkaesque’

what you can’t see

undoubtedly there

heart made of stone ~

you don’t stand a prayer

steer clear of this ghoul

on All Hallows Eve

 I've given fair warning ~

‘tis best you believe

  9. Peddling, Paddling, Pedaling her apples, whatever she's doing with them, that is NOT a ghoulish face! I'm trying to heed the warning, but I fear she's captured my fancy! Great Halloween fun! Well done.

Great verse, love the rhyme, especially:

    "darkness her milieu
    spells so grotesque
    don’t let her fool you
    think ‘Kafkaesque’ " - fabulous :-)
