Boo to the Braggarts

my brew’s better than your brew

yours tastes just like mildew stew

what's in this, snot-gobble gone bad?

cockroach slime, spoiled crawdad?

i'm bleeping tired of “sing-song” chants

now's the time for witchy rants

bone broth base, with tons of spice

I dare you taste it, slurp it twice

well by jiggers got to say

many folks on whom to prey

spells and curses I excel

make their nights a living hell

I’m a good witch I’ve been told

tonight is over, brew’s stone cold

powers are fading, fading fast

same time next year .. die is cast

  1. A braggart's gonna do what a braggart's gonna do,
but I bet more than a bat's wing blue
Your brew's better than the braggart's stew!

Loved this, Helen! I'm still laughing. :>)

  4. Helen, first I love your spooky image, really sets the stage for battle of the witches. I like how the battle only lasts during the Halloween season, then "Halloween's over, brew’s stone cold."
