Where They Go To Write

the last place one would go to be seen ~

the point of it all

in the morning hours they write

after lunch they wander past sea-battered cliffs

stopping to absorb the quiet that’s not entirely quiet

the waves, the wind

yet somehow it settles their souls

they are like the sea

not a sunny sea or a stormy sea

but one with long waves

coming in on a smooth beach

under a full moon

a star filled sky

this is poetry in motion

  9. "they are like the sea ... one with long waves" that is so, so good. I love the slow sense of this, the poem/poets in quiet tandem with the waves.
