Who Are You?

Thorvald Hellesen ~~ Portrait of Elvind Eckbo ~~ 1914

pixalated

fractionated

dissimulated

you are a figment

of my fecund imagination

infinity wrapped

in repetitive lines

liquid light

hiding deep

in the darkest spaces

i watch you

watching me

 my heart soars

In the dVerse Pub, Lillian introduces us to Norwegian artist Thorvald Hellesen!!

  2. Fabulous! You had me with the first word! I'd never thought of the Cubist painting as if the pixels in a digital presentation go awry....it happens on the computer and the face is totally distorted. "Fracionated" - great new word to use here - at least I think it's a new word? Like that you've written it as the admirer! So glad you posted to the prompt, Helen!

  7. Yes, in all that motion it is his gaze that captures.

  10. You picked a challenging painting and I wouldn't have known how to start but you did a great job. Love your ending especially. With your help I now see the focus of this painting is his gaze.
