Say No to the Jell-O!

There are two kinds of people. One kind, you can just tell by looking at them at what point they congealed into their final selves. It might be a very nice self, but you know you can expect no more surprises from it. Whereas, the other kind keep moving, changing ~~~~  Gail Godwin **

I adhere to what I call the "Godwin Method for Living a Productive Happy Life." Confession ~ more than a few of the "moving forward" treks were not well planned or well executed. However, they were teaching experiences .. a few of them from the "school of hard knocks!"
Several evenings ago, a neighbor asked  "how do you do it?" To which I questioned "do what" .. "maintain your joy for life, optimism in everything you do, cheerful no matter what?" Smiling I replied "trust me there have been many times I lost it, downward spiraled. Family and friends' illness and deaths
were the worst."
During the tough times I remember Gail's warning ~
Jell-o is not my favorite food.

following my bliss
summer, winter, fall and spring
in love with living

It’s all about "Moving" in the dVerse Pub .. any way we wish to interpret it!

  2. Dearest Helen,
No, Jell–o is not my middle name either!
Just walked 1.5 km for the very first time. Feeling proud of myself and Pieter is not yet home from his biking trip—so wish I could join him.
Never ever give up and look towards better times!
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  4. I love your attitude. I know I've read Gail Godwin, but do not remember this quote. The idea of congealing is not appealing.
