Clowning Around

 Shay's Word List Poetry

I tell you I am writing a play

about an 'over the moon' circus clown

knowing me as well as you do

you sense the play is about me ~

my style/s:  overplayed, remote, stilted

wacky, jumbled, woebegone ~

you look at me

with pity in your eyes

for the outré writer that I am ~

this would be me.

  6. Sometimes I think we spend our whole lives 'writing a play," playing the clown, over and under the moon. So good to read you, Helen, and thanks for your kind comment at my place.
