Rosemary encouraged poets to write Limericks ~~ and I obliged.
*Woonie is my Grandmother name
there once lived a lady named woonie
whose friends thought her truly quite looney
she labored each day
in her woonie-like way
results never much more than puny
there once was a poet named woonie
ReplyDeletewho was very popular with the loonies
she wrote all day long
singing elizabethan songs
but her lute playing was
way out of toonie
HO HO HO HO HO 🤣🥰
ReplyDeleteDear Helen and Rall, ha ha ha, good on you both!
ReplyDeleteVery good, both of the limericks. Maybe we should organise a duelling limerick week :-)
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I wrote a limerick, but changed my mind about using it.
ReplyDeleteOur lady's luney cat she fed
ReplyDeleteMorning and night out in the shed

Pellets next she'd eat
Luney fat cat stayed in her bed
..
