[ three words you most likely have never heard ]
people say I am delulu
I ask ~ what do you think?
see those fans milling about the stadium
they've come to lewk, to cheer
as I maneuver the soccer ball
up and down the grassy field
butting the ball
with my perfectly coiffed head ~
the good old broligarchy
can't touch me with a ten foot pole
~ delulu, a slang term, short for "delusional," and is used to describe someone who holds unrealistic, overly optimistic beliefs or fantasies, often with a playful or self-aware tone
~ lewk, a slang term that describes a distinctive, carefully curated, and often impressive personal style
~ broligarchy, a small group of wealthy men who wield significant power over government and society

Had to smile at how deftly you integrated the three words while putting in their place those who would be kings of the world. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat comes to mind is my youngest, age two, kicking her soccer ball all over a one acre grassed field. Nice poem, keep the broligarchy in their rightful place with you.
