WhimsyGizmo is hosting Quadrille Monday in the Pub ~ the magic word is "Much"
How much voodoo
went into choosing
Quadrille's magic number
“forty-four”
[curious minds need to know]
what's wrong with twenty-three
when I play the lottery
“pick your own”
I play “forty-four”
and “twenty-three”
both there Saturday night
looking for four winners
your tips, pretty please?

I pick birthday numbers, Helen, but I’ve never had a big win.
ReplyDeleteHeehee. I like the way this spills. :)

ReplyDeleteA cute Quadrille, Helen!
ReplyDeleteHelen - don't ask me the most I have ever won on the Lottery is a tenner! I love the poem and the great animation created🙌
ReplyDeleteI have no idea why 44. I never play the lottery, but good luck!
ReplyDeleteYou'll know it's lucky when you win. (See I said when, not if?) 44 looks like 2 wings.
ReplyDeletePicking lottery number is both an art and magical luck.
ReplyDeleteArcadia Maria
I often do random picks but, I do have a couple of favorite numbers that usually comes through but, no big win.
ReplyDeleteCurious indeed! I love this playful poem - Jae

ReplyDeleteYou made me think,
I have some numbers that are my lucky charms:
they are my date of birth!!
Don' t play the lottery, maybe i should
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by ny blog
Much♡love
Challenging enough to use only 44 words, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI actually know why we came up with the idea of 44. There was once a challenge called Trifecta who sometimes had a challenge of doing 33 words... we just upped the number to 44 and came up with the Quadrille as a number (the very first word was dance).... as for picking a lucky number I have never done it, I try to avoid gambling.
ReplyDeleteI love this! It seems like so many forms of poetry are somehow just thought of out of the blue.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can come up with a form involving the number 23 somehow.
