hers was a strange request    

damn near impossible 

how can it be i am here     

in the city's rush and throng    

seems i'm in a sticky bind    

i wander the streets      

pops of color everywhere 

i dream in measures, keys and tempos

forty summers ago lake water was warm   

i often find it immersive and quite pleasant; losing track of time   

oh the giddy feeling
